AURE Glazing
AURE Glazing generates renewable energy from clear glazing while retaining up to 80% transparency. Low-E coating options are available to lower the solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC) and improve the building’s thermal performance. Lower solar heat gain reduces cooling demand, trimming operational energy costs over the life of the building. The glass is made to order in customisable thicknesses, sizes and glazing options.
How does it work?
AURE Glazing integrates photovoltaic technology within a precisely engineered transparent insulated glass unit.
Product Features
Monocrystalline Solar Cells
High-efficiency monocrystalline solar cells generate up to 60Wp/m², turning a previously passive façade surface into a clean energy generator. This offsets grid consumption and supports sustainability targets without using extra land or roof space.
Visible Light Transmission
Up to 80% visible light transmission (VLT) delivers the daylight and clear views of standard architectural glazing, while still generating power.
Low-E Coating
A range of Low-E coating options gives control over both performance and appearance, so the glass can be specified to suit the climate and the design intent.
Construction Specifications
A fully sealed product with concealed cable management keeps the electrics hidden and protected, for a clean finish and a long service life.
IGU
An advanced connection system works with both aluminium and Quanex super spacers, protecting the insulated glass unit (IGU) seal and supporting strong thermal performance at the edge.
Custom Sizing
Bespoke sizing and thickness, in project-specific units up to 2200 mm x 3300 mm, so the glass is made to fit the building rather than the other way round.

Why AURE Glazing?
AURE Glazing turns glass into a source of clean energy, keeping up to 80% visible light transmission while Low-E coating options reduce solar heat gain and cooling demand. Made to order up to 2200 mm x 3300 mm, it works with standard curtain wall systems and can be specified like any other high-performance glass.

Backed by Science
AURE products go through rigorous independent testing and certification, giving specifiers and owners reassurance about how each product will perform in the building. This evidence is backed by a 12-year product warranty and a 30-year linear power performance warranty.

Building Types
AURE Glazing works as architectural glazing first, which makes it suitable for a wide range of buildings. It can be deployed on commercial buildings, education institutes and tourism facilities. Wherever a building requires glazing, AURE Glazing can turn it into a source of on-site renewable energy.
Education
AURE Glazing has a strong track record of real-world application in the research and teaching sectors. At Murdoch University in Perth, AURE Glazing forms a world-first solar glass grow room, generating renewable energy while researchers study plant growth in real conditions. Fitted with sensors that track temperature, humidity and light, the facility supports agricultural science and student learning at the same time as it powers the building.
Tourism
AURE Glazing can also help draw visitors. In Sendai, Japan, AURE Glazing wraps the east, south and west sides of a strawberry greenhouse at the Aqua Ignis Hot Springs resort. The glass generates renewable energy while the greenhouse stays a working visitor attraction, showing how BIPV can add eco credentials to tourism and hospitality projects.
AURE Glazing in Use

R&D Grow Room
Murdoch University in Perth is home to Augenium’s world-first 202 m² AURE Glazing Grow Room. The facility combines AURE Glazing with real-time monitoring to support agricultural research. The project demonstrates Augenium’s potential to integrate renewable energy generation into protected-cropping environments.
