AURE Balustrades
AURE Balustrades turn balcony railings, canopies and fencing into energy-generating surfaces. Solar cell density is configurable across three options, so each project can balance transparency against output. It adds a generating surface without the extra footprint, putting an otherwise passive element to work. Each glazed unit can be engineered to the project, designed around the site’s framing, cabling and waterproofing. Sizes and thicknesses are fully customisable.
How does it work?
AURE Balustrades integrate photovoltaic technology within a precisely engineered structural glazing unit.
Product Features
TOPCon Solar Cells
High-efficiency TOPCon solar cells generate up to 210 Wp/m², turning the balustrade into a clean energy generator. Output depends on the chosen cell layout, so each project balances power and transparency to suit the space.
Cell Layout
Choose from three cell layouts: Double, Quad and Hex track, offering 70%, 40%, 10%, transparency. This sets how much light passes through and how much power the glass generates, so the balance can be specified for each project.
Structural Glass Build-up
Construction-grade material thicknesses let AURE Balustrades perform as a structural element.
Custom Specification
Customisable panel size, glass thickness and shape mean each balustrade is made to fit the building, rather than adapted from a standard unit.
Concealed Junction Box Framing
Bespoke framing and installation engineering means the AURE balustrades is suitable for any project. The frame also conceals the Thermal Management Junction Box

Backed by Science
AURE products go through rigorous independent testing and certification, giving specifiers and owners reassurance about how each product will perform in the building. That evidence is backed by a 12-year product warranty and a 30-year linear power performance warranty.

For Every Building Type
AURE Balustrade works best where a building has a lot of railing or balcony area facing the sun. It turns balconies, terraces and walkways into generating surfaces, adding on-site power to space that is usually purely functional. From apartment towers to hotels, it performs as a safety element and a power source at once.
Hotels, resorts and hospitality
AURE Balustrades can be deployed on the balconies, terraces and pool surrounds of hotels and resorts. They generate power from extensive, design-led railing runs, helping reduce operating costs and contributing to sustainability credentials.
Commercial offices and mixed-use
AURE Balustrades work on the roof terraces, break-out decks and atrium edges of commercial and mixed-use buildings. Railings that would otherwise be purely structural generate clean energy, helping projects meet ESG and energy-rating targets.
